Bella was baptised on Sunday and we are so thankful to all the family that made the trip and really missed those who couldn't. Bella was fighing a cold but did beautifully and Max was so calm up front(HUGE answer to prayer-He does like to talk and move ya know!). A beautiful story from the service: My Grandy and Nana loved the hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness". They had it sung at their wedding, all their children had it sung at their weddings, and as far as I know, all the grandchildren have had it sung at their weddings. I thought about asking our music director to include it on Sunday but didn't. What a wonderful surprise that it was included in the worship songs! I have been missing my Nana lately and was sad she couldn't be there and as we sung that glorious hymn, it felt like she was!

The Storm Trooper and the Cupcake

Max and Bella enjoyed a Halloween Weekend! On Friday night we helped with the Harvest Party at the church. Max loved playing the games and doing some crafts and running around with all his friends from church. We had a quiet but fun Saturday night. Bella and Max did some "Trick or Treating" together and then Bella and Mommy went home to hand out candy while Daddy and Max kept going. Fun night!

Fall Images

This was our view from the deck last night-Max said "Wow, isn't God awesome?"

"The grass withers and the flowers fall but the word of our God stands forever."

Isaiah 40:7

Happy 9 Months Bella

Our little cupcake all ready for Halloween!

Eating bananas!

Some snuggle time with Max

Crawling after Eliza

Playing with a car-Daddy loves this picture!

One of her favorite things-pulling DVDs off the shelf!

It is very hard to believe that Bella is 9 months old today! She is so delightful and happy! She crawls very fast and pulls up on everything. She cruises up and down the couch and has stood on her own for nanoseconds-I don't think it will be long before she walks! She starting to eat finger foods and drink from a cup. She loves stuffed animals, book with real pictures, and of course, Max. She laughs at everything he does and lights up when he comes in a room. She is more shy than Max and is cautious around new faces but she warms up quickly. We sure do love our little cupcake!!

And God Knew

I don't usually do this but God showed me something awesome in His Word this morning so I thought I would share. Max and I are reading about Moses this week. We usually just read the story from a bible story book but today we were doing a craft and I wanted to put the actually words from the Bible on it so I went to Exodus 2 to read about Moses' mom putting him in the basket. While Max was working on the craft, I read ahead a little and found this...

"During those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. And God heard their groaning and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. God saw the people of Israel-and God knew. " Exodus 2:23-25

God HEARD, God REMEMBERED, God SAW, God KNEW!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like I have been groaning alot lately-sometimes for valid reasons but mostly just selfish reasons. It was a great comfort to my soul to be reminded that my AWESOME God hears me, He remembers me, He sees me, and He knows.

Happy Fall!

We have done alot of activites with apples the last few weeks. Max has sorted, tasted, counted, and painted apples and their seeds! We also learned Psalm 17:8!

We went for a nature walk to find biotic and abiotic things-the lizard was the highlight of the walk! (Check out Max's right shoulder)
Max loves Classical Conversations and is learning alot of geography. We made this cool book to show where Max lives. It starts with the Earth and goes to our house.

We started Veritas Press's Phonics Museum. Max is starting to sound words out and read quite a few sight words. This week was short a and we celebrated with some "A" pancakes!

We are working our way through a bible story book and it is one of Max's favorite parts of our school day. This is a picture he drew of Jacob meeting Rachel at the well. I love the sheep!
