6.2

Max, our biggest fan!
Just before the race, Max gave me a hug and said "Perseverance Mommy.  Remember the verse"
Love that sweet kid!

Mile 6 and we are still smiling and running!

Lee and I ran the Monument Avenue 10K yesterday!  Lee's parents and my dad and Max came down to cheer us on and although it was really cold it was a great race and so fun to run it together.  Next up for the Adlers:  Max-The Great Train Race on May 2, Jenny-Marine Corp Half Marathon on May 16th, Lee-Sprint Triathalon in June!!

Max's Art

Max

Olympic Torch Ice Cream for the Opening Ceremonies!

Max is doing really well in school.  February was a "Back to Basics"  month for us.  After a long and horrible January, we needed to make up some lost ground so we hit the books!  Max is really reading!  It is so exciting to hear him sounding out words even when we aren't asking him too!  Something clicked with math this month and he just seems to get it now!  Working with manipulatives is still his favorite thing to do but he can finish a page of addition facts super fast. He continues to love Classical Conversations and is learning so much there.  He did some amazing art projects last month.  He is swimming at PE this month which he loves and training for the mile in the Great Train Race.  He loves to do puzzles and now that the weather is getting warmer, he is back to digging in the back yard!

Bella Update

Bella is a very busy little 1 year old. She loves playing with her toys and Max's! She loves books and can often be found sitting in a pile of them "reading". She brings us books and backs into our laps to be read to! She is saying a few words and repeating lots of things! She loves to go "ByeBye" and play outside. It appears she may be a little bit of a picky eater which is a new thing for us but she loves yogurt, brocolli, and every little kid's favorite, Goldfish!

Spring is Coming!

We played outside today! It was pretty cold when the wind blew but it felt so very good to be outside. Yeah for the sun and the grass(even if the grass is brown). Bella walked and explored outside for the first time today and she loved it! Come on Spring!!
