Happy Birthday Grandma and Nana

This week is Lee's Grandma Chovan's and my Nana's birthdays. Grandma and Nana were both incredible woman who loved Jesus very much. The fruit of that love is several generations of families who know and love the Lord. Lee and I are so very greatful for the loving examples of our grandparents and we miss them very much.

The Gingerbread House

One of our fun Christmas traditions is making and decorating a gingerbread house. Last year I let the boys decorate on their own and it turned into a free for all with icing! This year was much calmer and organized:) I think Max just likes sneeking the M&Ms and getting icing everywhere but I love the finished product!

O Christmas Tree

A little playtime in the barn

In search of our tree

It's one of my favorite things to do-Find our Christmas tree! And the weather was perfect this year-Sunny and COLD! We went to Sneads this year which is where we get our pumpkins and where Lee and I got our very first Christmas tree. We found the perfect little tree and put in the front window in the playroom. Max loved getting the ornaments out and everyone was his "favorite". Bella missed out on the decorating this year but she loves looking and touching the ornaments. I can't wait to put the presents under it!

Bella

Standing by herself!

The weekend of Bella's baptism, she got very sick with a respiratory virus and double ear infections. Two weeks later her ears still weren't better(we are going for a consult for possible tubes in Dec.) and she was wheezing pretty significantly. For the last few days we have had to do breathing treatments to help with that.

Bella has spaghetti for the first time!
Bella was 10 months old this weekend! It is very hard to believe that she is almost one but it has been so fun to see her little personality come out. She is standing on her own and walking behind a push cart. She loves to wave, love/slobber on her baby doll, and be read to. Of course Lee is proudest of the fact that she also really loves to push cars around the kitchen floor! She is making lots of sounds but no words yet. We are so excited to be celebrating her first Christmas!

Max

Teaching Bella to sword(umm, spoon?) fight!

Learning to ask a question during someone else's presentation instead of saying a comment!

Giving his presentation at Classical Conversations. This is mostly "show and tell" but this week he was telling a story about getting stung by a bee.

Riding the trolley and learning some history!

Max with some friends before the Trolley Tour of Fredericksburg

Field Trip to AC Moore(an art supply store)
A Star Wars Zoo where the animals are the patrons. Sometimes his imagination scares me:)
A manger scene
Here are a few random pictures of Max and a little update on him: School is going well: He is reading! He loves Classical Conversations and Homeschool PE at the Y. Math is still the toughest. He loves building with blocks, playing with his cars and Star Wars guys, digging under the deck, and any and all art projects. Like his mommy, Thanksgiving to Christmas is his favorite time of year, mostly due to the anticipation of being with family!

Jillian was so sweet with Bella and they matched!

Nana Sue, Bella, Bapa, and Max

Bella was really happy with brocolli, sweet potatoes, and fried turkey!

Fried Turkey!

We had two yummy Thanksgiving meals this year. On Sunday, Lee fried a turkey and we ate with my parents. On Thanksgiving Day, we went to Maryland and celebrated with Lee's family. Max and Bella had such a fun time playing with Adam and Jillian. We have so much to be thankful for this year and we feel so blessed!

BE THANKFUL TO HIM AND BLESS HIS NAME!

FOR THE LORD IS GOOD!
