My Little Helpers

Max and Bella have emptied the dishwasher all by themselves the last 2 days!

God once said, "Let the light shine out of the darkness!" And this is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts." 2 Corinthians 4:6

Yesterday we read The Pumpkin Patch Parable  by Liz Curtis Higgs and then I found this prayer.  So this morning we carved a little pumpkin and thanked God for choosing us and prayed that He would continue to finish the good work He has begun in us so that we can be Light for others!

Owen Winslow Saunders

Steve, Bekah, and Eliza welcomed Owen Saunders on October 14!  He was certainly worth the wait!

Snead's

Bella didn't feel well and was really ready for a nap by the time we got on the hay ride.  She crawled up in Max's lap and laid her head on his shoulder.
I thought I would let Max tell you about our trip to the pumpkin patch. This is his journal entry from Tuesday.  The words are his and the sentence structure but I took the liberty of spelling everything correctly so you could read it!

I like Snead's Farm. It has lot of animals like cows and horses and alpacas and chickens to.  And they have lots of pumpkins.  I picked two pumpkins, one for me and one for Bella.  Then we went to a big barn and swung on a long rope and I fell and got a booboo.  We went on a hay ride and saw asparagus plants.

Camping

We went on a quick overnight camping trip with our friends the Webbs.  It was Bella's first time sleeping in a tent and the weather was perfect!  Although we are very dirty and tired, we had a great time!

Field Trips

Max went on two field trips this week.  On Thursday Lee took him to Caledon Nature Area for a dip netting program.  They saw some cool things and played in the Potomac River.  On Friday Max and I went to the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center for a program about the Powhatan Indians.

Hiking Adventure

Lee took the day off to take Max on a field trip and then we went to Lee Drive and hiked 4 miles!

This is my favorite picture!  I love their sweet friendship and that they love each so very much!
