The "Froggy Pool" is Open!
This day ranks up there with Christmas and his birthday for Max. The pool is open for the summer! Max has waited two summers to be tall enough to go down the very big slides and today was the day! He loved it despite the fact that he looks terrified. Bella loved the pool but mostly just the social part. She did multiple laps around the chair area, met some new friends, and just looked cute in her new bathing suit.

He is Listening.....
Lee and Max were in the backyard-Lee was cleaning up dog poop(What a man!) and Max was pretending to be a pirate in his playhouse.
Max: "Daddy is that shark poop?"
Lee: "Arrrrrgh!"
Max: "Daddy is that shark poop?"
Lee "ARRRGH"
Max: "DADDY is that shark poop?"
Lee " Max, Arrrgh means yes."
Max " Daddy, the Bible says Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Arrrgh is not yes."

Winding Down
We are slowly finishing up Kindergarten and heading into our summer schedule. Classical Conversations ended in April and although we were sad to leave our friends for a few months, I am really happy to have our Fridays back! Being a part of CC was one of Max's favorite things this year and Lee and I were so pleased with all that Max learned there.
We had our last homeschool PE yesterday with a very fun picnic and water slide. Max loved PE and it was great chance for him to get some exercise and meet some great friends. He especially loved his teacher Ms. Niki. She was so very sweet and patient with Max and I loved her for that!

It is Amazing What will Keep a Toddler Happy!
Bella-September 09
When we started school at the end of August, Bella was about 7 months and not mobile! She just napped and laid on the floor while we had school. Now...not so much! So I had to find some ways to keep her occupied while we finish up school. I found some great ideas on some of the blogs I read and it is amazing how happy she is with some old containers, some counting bears, and a few craft supplies!

Marine Corps Half Marathon
This is about 12 miles and I was exhausted and my calves were cramping but I was so very happy to see my family!!
My friend Sharon jumped in at mile 7 and ran the last few miles with us. I am so thankful for her encouragement and help!
Mile 7
Yesterday I ran the Marine Corps Half Marathon in Fredericksburg-13.1 miles! It was a fun but tough race. The end of the race has 2 very steep hills and my legs pretty much gave out. We walked most of the last three miles but we still finished in 3 hours and 21 seconds! The very best part of this race was that I ran it with Lucy and Mary Rose Hazel. They are incredible girls and I love them for doing this with me. The time spent running and training was such a blessing to me. The night before the race we had a wonderful dinner at their house. Lee and I both loved sitting at the table with all 8 Hazels and our family! It feels great that I was able to finish this race and although I am having trouble moving today :) I think I am ready to sign up for another one! Anyone want to run with me?
We are in Trouble!
Bella has learned to climb..on everything but especially the couch. And she is very proud of herself. At least she spends some time reading while she is there!

Great Wolf Lodge
We surprised Max with a short birthday trip to Great Wolf Lodge. It is an amazing place and we can't wait to go back some day! Alot of the pics are blurry because of the lighting and how fast everyone was moving!
