First Day of Classical Conversations

My big 3rd Grader!

Today was the first of 24 weeks of Classical Conversations.  When we finish in April we will have learned and worked to memorize:

161 events and people in a chronological timeline
44 US presidents
24 history sentences which add depth to our timeline
120 locations and geographical features in Africa, Europe, and the Old World
24 science facts(including classification of living things and each continent's highest mountain)
5 Latin noun endings and their singular and plural declensions
English grammar facts(including 53 prepositions, 23 helping verbs, and 12 linking verbs)
Multiplication tables up to 15 times 15, common squares and cubes as well as basic geometry formulas and unit conversions. 

AND participated in science experiments, explored great artists and great composers, and learned to play the tin whistle(Mama is so very thankful this in only 6 weeks!!) 
We LOVE CC and we are looking forward to an exciting year!
