Happy 6 Months Elsie Jane!

Elsie Jane is 6 months old!  She is such a sweet baby and we love her so much!  She is rolling all over the place, making lots of noise, loves to giggle, and has a few favorite toys.  She isn't sleeping great at night but we are working on that! She is definitely teething and drools a lot!  She loves to laugh at Lee and Max.  She is a very happy and content baby!

Bella LOVES to play Red Light/Green Light

This is our first day of CC in August.  Hard to imagine life before Elsie Jane!
We had our last day of Classical Conversations yesterday.  There are 24 weeks in each cycle so we are usually done by April each year.  It is bittersweet.  Although we love the material and our friends, it is really nice to have Fridays open and some wiggle room in our school schedule.  Our family has learned so much this year.  Bella loves being in the nursery with her friends, playing with playdough, learning, and doing crafts. And she learned quite a bit of the material that Max was learning!  Max has learned so much about American history and geography.  He learned John 1:1-7 in English and Latin!  He had a presentation each week and among other things presented a biography of Pocahontas, the entire Gettysburg Address, and a dramatic interpretation of one of our favorite books, Going on A Bear Hunt.  He made a paper model of the human body, saw real pig lungs, and got a fun hands on introduction to chemistry. He learned to play the tin whistle, to identify different instruments in a classical music piece, and created some fun art masterpieces.  He loves his teacher, Mrs. Mundie and his classmates.  We will keep learning and reviewing alot of the CC material as we finish out our school year and we look forward to starting again next year!

Chobani

Bella eats one of these every morning for breakfast.  She is almost obsessive about it.  One morning she got in bed with us and laid there whispering "Chobani, Chobani" over and over until we got up and got her one for breakfast.
And there are rules about the Chobani-she needs to get it out of the fridge, she needs to get to the spoon, and under NO circumstances should you attempt to stir the yogurt before giving it her.  She gets very upset if you stir the yogurt.  It has become a saying around here when anyone gets a little grumpy.  "UhOh...somebody stirred the yogurt!"
She loves her Chobani which is why this morning was somewhat epic.  I made this oatmeal yesterday for breakfast.  She had some.....AFTER her Chobani of course.  But this morning, after snuggling on the couch with her Daddy for a few minutes, she asked for oatmeal, ate it up, and never even mentioned the “Ch” word!

Blanket Party

This is what Bella calls "a Blanket Party".  She has these several times a day.  Elsie Jane attends these parties because she can't move...yet.
