3 weeks old!

Elsie Jane is doing great!  She is finally sleeping more at night which helps Lee and I not feel so much like zombies!  She has outgrown her newborn diapers and a few of her newborn clothes.  She seems to be nursing well most of the time but we still supplement with some formula here and there.  She also has more awake and alert times much to the delight of  Max and Bella.  They talk to her and sing to her and it won't be long before she starts responding!

Elsie Jane

Our sweet Elsie Jane was born at 8:57 am on October 3.  We had a week long stay at the hospital because she was jaundice but we are home now and in love with our sweet girl!

School

First Day of Classical Conversations

Doing a little bit of reading
We started school two weeks ago and we are settling into our school routine.  Oh, and we had an earthquake and a hurricane!!   Pray for us as we start school, find a routine, and then add a baby into the mix!   Never a dull moment around here!

He might be crazy but he ain't dumb...

Lee won tickets to the Dukes of Hazzard Homecoming Festival by calling into a morning radio show and imitating Cooter.  Yes, I am filled with pride and certain that my children's redneck heritage is secure!  YeeHaw...Hazzard here we come!

Swim Finals

Max had swim finals on Saturday and all the grandparents got up early to come cheer him on.  He swam his personal best in freestyle and placed first in his ability group in his age division!! He had a great season, showed huge improvements, and really had fun!  Although we are looking forward to the break from daily practices I am sure we will head back to the pool for lessons soon!

Pandamania VBS

We spent a big chunk of our summer preparing for VBS at our church.  I was the director this year and that means Lee had lots of jobs too :0)!  But we had such a great week!  Everything went well and the kids had a great time.  Bella got sick so she had a fun week at home with NanaSue but she was able to go for the last day.  Lee took off the whole week and did skits with his friend Todd and led a crew. There are some great videos of Lee's skits on his facebook page and I am trying to figure out how to load them here as well.
