Advent Days 8 and 9

Day 8 was a craft that Max will be giving to a few people for Christmas so no pictures! :0)  Day 9 was a special treat!  Max went on a field trip to the Air and Space Museum at Dulles with Bapa!  He had such a fun time-Thanks for the great day Bapa!

Advent Day 7 Children's Museum

I love that Max created this all on his own! 

 

 

We had a fun morning down at the Children's Museum with Bekah, Eliza, and Owen.  I forgot to take my camera in so I just have the pictures from my phone.  Sweet Owen slept the whole time but I did get some cute smiles. The train was a huge hit and getting wet at the water tables!  Max spent some time in the art studio and made this cute Santa necklace and Christmas tree.

We got a little tiny bit of snow on Sunday morning!

Advent Days 3 and 4

Hot Chocolate for Breakfast and a fun bath in Daddy and Mommy's Big Tub!  These are both big treats for our kiddos and it was fun to see how excited they were! And because I didn't really think you needed pictures of Max in the tub, here's Max listening to our Advent story and Bella watching our Christmas Carol DVD.  :0)

Our Veggie Tales Advent Calendar is filling up with fun activities for us to do everyday as we count down to Christmas Day!  Today's activity:  Getting out the Christmas Books and the Little People Nativity!

Advent

We are celebrating Advent in a couple of different ways this year.  We are decorating our first Jesse Tree and we love this devotional that goes with it. We are reading Jotham's Journey together and it is an exciting story with some wonderful devotions after each chapter. Of course there will be shopping and presents, hot chocolate and gingerbread, baking and caroling and all the usual holiday business but we hope that the focus of heart and our home will be on celebrating the Birth of our Savior!
