Getting the Tree

We go to a great place in Hanover each year to get our tree. We cut our own tree, ride in a haywagon to get to the field, and Max gets to see some farm animals. We went on Sat. and had a great time! Max is alot like his mommy and he loves getting the ornaments out and getting them on the tree. We are ready for Christmas!

Thanksgiving

We had a really nice, quiet, relaxing Thanksgiving Day. Max spent some time hanging out with Nana Sue and Bapa, helping Daddy with some projects and frying our turkey, and then seeing Eliza when Bekah and Steve got here.

First Snowflakes

Ok this one is silly! Last week we had our first snowflakes. Look carefully, they are there! We love snow around here even if the flakes are small and they only last five minutes!!

Max's Thanksgiving Party

Today was Max's class Thanksgiving Party. Max's class dressed as Pilgrams and the other class was the Indians. Each class sang a few songs for the parents and then we had lunch-soup made by the classes. Max really loved performing(go figure:)! We are looking forward to a yummy Thanksgiving dinner here at our house with Bapa, NanaSue, Bekah, Steve and Eliza! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Young Life Tot Trot and Swimming Lessons

Max is taking swimming lessons at the Y again and doing really well. He is learning stroke basics and how to tread water. Today the teacher used him as the good example of both the swimming concept and good behavior(He really was very good and attentive today!)

Before swimming, Max ran in the Young Life Tot Trot to benefit Young Lives, their program for teen moms. The 1/4 mile course was the same one he ran in May for the Train Race but today he ran it by himself! He really loved it. Maybe he is going to be a triathlete!
Just a little update on our house: We are anxiously awaiting the birth of our niece(she's a week overdue!). Rocket Ts is taking off-they have had some website sales and sold at a rally for Sarah Palin 2 weeks ago. Lee started work with a different branch this week. He will be the missle test lead for a new ship(ie at some point he gets to go shoot things!). Max loves school and is doing really well. I am finishing up my second trimester and everything is going well. My blood pressure was up a little in Oct but at my appointment this week, it was fine. The nursery is painted and we are working on getting it finished. On a sad note, our dog Clancy disappeared this week. The backyard gate was open and he took off. We are missing him and hope maybe he will find his way home soon!

Halloween

Max was Luke Skywalker this year. Now he has a real light sabor to fight with instead of the paper towel tubes and broken swords he has been using! He got to wear his costume to school where they did some trick or treating around the Y. On Halloween night we went to the Beaverdam Baptist Church Harvest Festival with our friends the Wrights. They have rides and games for the kids.
