Classical Conversations

Classical Conversations finished up in April and we were so excited for Max.  He worked incredibly hard and became a Classical Conversations Memory Master!! What is a Memory Master?  A memory master is a student who recites from memory every piece of memory work from all 24 weeks of CC.  All 24 weeks...IN. ONE. SITTING!

161 events and people in a chronological timeline
44 US presidents
24 history sentences which add depth to our timeline
120 locations and geographical features in Africa, Europe, and the Old World
24 science facts(including classification of living things and each continent's highest mountain)
5 Latin noun endings and their singular and plural declensions
English grammar facts(including 53 prepositions, 23 helping verbs, and 12 linking verbs)
Multiplication tables up to 15 times 15, common squares and cubes as well as basic geometry formulas and unit conversions.

That is an incredible amount of information and he did it!  He pushed himself and didn't give up even when it was really hard to remember all those dates and places and math formulas and are you kidding me, Latin noun endings!  After 4 years of memorizing the grammar of history, english, science, latin, and geography we are really starting to see the benefits.  He is using all those learning pegs in many situations and it is exciting to see.

Last day of CC in April 2013 and First Day of CC in Aug. of 2012
